It’s not quite fall yet but you can finally feel the hint of it in the air. Soon crisp mornings will turn to crisp days and being able to exist outside between the hours of 9AM and 7PM without melting.
The leaves will turn and fall. I’ll have to get out the leaf blower or risk losing my driveway from sight completely.
We either will or will not drink pumpkin spice lattes, watch football, and go apple picking.
You know, fall stuff.
And look. I KNOW. I know how it is.
I know.
But…
I am Unapologetically A Fall-is-My-Favorite-Season Person. It is what it is.
And it being what it is, I decided we should celebrate the last gasping days of Summer and roll out the red carpet for Spooky Season (don’t worry we’re taking an autumnal detour before we dive into full on 100% That Witch mode).
I mean, you probably weren’t even worried, and in that case JUST YOU WAIT FOR OCTOBER.
*CACKLES IN SUBSTACK*
Okay, let me actually get to the point before you read too far and completely forget there was a video at the top of this post.
I made a thing!
To celebrate the pending, really any day now, start of fall aka cozy season. You get the point.
Without further adieu (because frankly there has been enough), allow me to present…
THE COZY CHARACTER CREATOR ZINE
The What?
Ahem.
The cozy character creator zine (my very first zine actually!) is a FREE download for you, dearest reader, that helps you create your very own cozy character via a drawing prompt. It will guide you through randomly picking prompts from various categories to put together into one big, beautifully cozy character prompt.
Get the download(s) here ⬇️
There are two sizes available (A4 and Letter) so you can pick whichever is the standard where you live.
Why would I want it?
Well. I say. That is quite a rude question. But to answer it anyways…
Because it’s fun!
Because sometimes you want to draw but you don’t want to think.
Because drawing prompts are great for Creative Play and stretching your creative muscles!
Because you like free stuff?
What materials do I need?
A printer
A piece of paper
Scissors (optional)
Your favorite method of character creating (any and all mediums will work!)
That’s it! I hope you have fun! Oh wait, you might have one more question.
How does it work?
To see how to fold the zine, you can watch the video at the top of this post or read this post by
which does a great job of explaining it.As for how to use the prompts, there are instructions inside the zine itself, but I also made you another short video showing it in action which you can watch below:
Note: In the video I used a marker to write in the zine but that was just so it would show up well on camera (and because I have about a dozen misprints…it took a minute to figure the margins out, y’all). You can reuse your zine over and over if you use pencil or write your numbers somewhere else!
Psst! If you enjoyed this, could you do me a favor? Let me know in the comments! It really helps me determine what types of content you enjoy and helps me plan posts in the future!
Thank you! See you next week! 🫶
