Paid Subscriptions are Live! 🚀
Yay! I’m so excited to announce that I have officially launched paid subscriptions here on Substack! This is something I’ve been wanting to do for awhile (as you may have seen referenced in this comic) so I am thrilled to finally announce it and share it with you all!
Read on for more information about what the paid subscription will include, what this means for the free subscribers, and how you can get a free trial by participating in The Great Substack Cookie Challenge!
What Does this Mean for Free Subscribers?
First things first, free subscribers will always get the weekly posts for free. Not much is changing for you as a free subscriber, unless you want to upgrade to paid!
I will continue to post weekly on Thursday as I have been doing since I started this Substack. You will continue to get the comics, tutorials, and posts I release for free!
The only difference moving forward is that most posts older than 3 months will move into the archive, which will be accessible only by paid subscribers.
If you love the free posts and want more, check out all the perks waiting for you below!

The challenge will run from now until the end of the month, so make sure you submit your cookies before February 28th!
⭐ Star Baker Award⭐
One lucky cookie will also win the Star Baker award and will receive a complimentary year of paid! Everyone who submits a cookie will be eligible to win the Star Baker award, it will be a random draw so no worries if your cookies aren’t at the Hollywood Handshake level!
The Backstory:
I recently discovered that I cannot draw a chocolate chip cookie with just a pen (or maybe even at all??) It seems impossible. It is Cookie Everest. It is the equivalent of sending a cookie to the moon. It is even more difficult than waiting 10 minutes for actual, real life chocolate chip cookies to “cool” before eating one.
Just look upon these travesties of baked good illustration. Feast not your eyes, nor your stomach, but your tolerance for BAD DRAWINGS on these…

Which brings me to the challenge: I want you to try drawing a chocolate chip cookie with just a pen and see how it turns out!
How to Participate:
Draw a sketch or doodle of a chocolate chip cookie using just a pen (or the equivalent digital art version)! It can be as simple or detailed as you like. You can even send in a post-it or napkin sketch!
Send a photo of your cookie to me (more instructions below)
Subscribe to Tiny Leaf Press, if you haven’t already, so I can gift you the free trial!
Submit your photo by the deadline: February 28, 2025
Ways to Submit Your Photo:
You can submit your cookie sketch in either of these ways—just pick which works best for you!
Reply to this email (or email me at jenni@tinyleafpress.com) and include the photo
Restack this post and add your photo as a note
That’s everything for now! Whether you’re joining paid today or just here for the free posts, I’m so glad you’re a part of Tiny Leaf Press. This creative community has meant so much to me, and I hope that this new subscription can be a source of inspiration and support for you, too!
If you have any questions about upgrading to paid or joining the cookie challenge, feel free to leave a comment or reach out!
I’ll see you Thursday for our regularly scheduled post where I’ll be talking about how to survive the 100 day project and giving you some starter ideas!
