That’s right it’s finally time for another year of Summer Creative Retreat aka my favorite part of the summer.
You will fill pages and pages in your sketchbook. You will use beautiful colors you don’t normally use. You will dig out your old dusty art materials and give them new life. You will laugh. You will cry.
Okay, maybe not that last one 😂. But you know what I can guarantee?
You will have a blast!
A whole week of creative play taught by some of your favorite artists (and me!), how could you not?

What is Summer Creative Retreat?
Summer Creative Retreat is a weeklong art retreat hosted by The Pigeon Letters aka Peggy Dean. 1 week. 60 workshops. 50+ artists. Countless sketchbook pages filled!
I already said it above, but honestly it is my favorite part of the summer. I’ve been attending for years and I always have so much fun.
I’m beyond thrilled to have been invited to teach a workshop this year (but more on that next week 😉).
Who is it for?
Artists of all kinds! From professional illustrators to weekend hobbyists, the event is for anyone who likes to make art!
Everyone is invited and everyone can participate in the workshops!
How much does it cost?
Nothing! Registration for the event is completely free. You can watch all the workshops (and replays if you can’t make it live) during the event completely for free.
If you want lifetime access to the replays and a goodie bag of bonuses you have the option to snag a Permanent Vacation pass for $79 (see below for more info).
When is it?
The weeklong event runs from August 1-6, 2025!
Workshops run from 9AM - 8PM EDT every day (with a lunch break each day).
My workshop will be on Sunday, August 3rd at 9AM EDT.

What is Permanent Vacation?
Permanent Vacation is an optional add-on you can purchase to keep the workshop replays FOREVER.
If you want to rewatch your favorite workshops all-year long or you just know you need more time to watch everything you want, you can upgrade and get lifetime access to all 60 workshop replays!
